Intro | The Town | Lodging | History | Activities | Snow! | Families |

Originally a goldmining town, in 1960 an enthusiastic group of folks decided that there were some great slopes around Breckenridge and thus began the 'Breckenridge Ski Resort'.

Now a thriving ski resort, people return time and time again. This is partly because of its snow record, the high elevation, the dry climate and the proximity of the slopes to Breckenridge Town, but just as much, if not more, because of the charming town, the history (including a few restaurants and pubs with their own ghosts) and its friendly local feel.

Below are a few recommendations of some of the places not to be missed during your stay - full details of most of these venues and more can be found in the 'Breckenridge Dining Guide' which can be picked up around resort.
