Join skiers and snowboarders from around the world who have fallen in love with Silver Star’s fairytale village. This Victorian theme 19th century mining town is truly a winter wonderland. Brightly coloured store fronts and wooden boardwalks create a unique atmosphere that radiates fun and excitement for everyone. Guests immediately feel the warmth and serenity of this mid-mountain village, where service and friendliness are as honoured as the values of a time long gone. Silver Star is located in the heart of British Columbia’s snow laden Okanagan Valley, just 50 minutes north of Kelowna’s International Airport.

When you gather at one of Canada’s most awarded resorts and stay in the classic Victorian-styled vacation homes or at the brand new Snowbird Lodge, you’ll see why Silver Star Mountain Resort is a hit amongst skiers and snowboarders from around the world. All of Silver Star's accommodation is close to a ski run or a lift, and the Village is never more than a short shuttle ride away.

Blanketed annually by 7 metres (23 feet) of dry, feather-light champagne powder, Silver Star is a huge mountain with three distinct faces and 115 runs, bowls and gladed areas. The comfortable average daytime temperatures of -5 C (27 F), is cold enough to keep the snow light and fluffy, yet perfect for skiing, riding, cross country skiing and other winter activities.

With its long, beautifully manicured runs, quiet slopes, and great mountain views, the Vance Creek face is the most popular area on the mountain. But it's not all laid back, here, you'll find the TELUS Terrain Park, packed with rails, monstrous jumps, and a half pipe. Serviced by a new (2005) high-speed quad, Silver Woods features direct fall line intermediate terrain, gladed meadows and - best of all – you'll think that you have it all to yourself! Try yodeling, you’ll see what we mean!

Serviced by its own Express Quad, the Putnam Creek face is known as the ‘Dark Side of the Star’ – 60 runs of thigh-burning excitement for intermediates and experts! Silver Star's snowcat crew is renowned for its winch cat grooming, even on some of its steepest runs! Head to the Putnam Creek for vertical chutes choked with fresh powder and some of the most exciting skiing in Western Canada!

The Silver Star Nordic Center features 55 kilometres of Olympic-calibre cross country trails; immaculately groomed for either classical or skating technique. Need a technique tune-up – Silver Star's certified Nordic instructors will have you gliding and skating effortlessly in no time, and there's even a lighted loop for night-time workouts after the sun sets. Recent Nordic improvements include full certification and expansion of two biathlon ranges and new warming huts with fabulous views of the Monashee Mountains. With its traditional early November opening and "Month of Nordic" festivities in late November/early December, you'll see why Silver Star is a favourite training ground with Nordic skiers from all over the world.

Modern express lifts, fine dining, and affordable accommodation combined with ice skating on a frozen pond, tube riding, miniature snowmobiles are all within easy walking distance from your vacation home, and make Silver Star a destination not to be missed.
