One of the most exciting ways to see Canada is by motorhome or RV (recreational vehicle). You have the freedom of the open road - you choose where to go, how long you wish to stay and all at your own pace. There are no check-in queues and having a motorhome means that if you discover a place you really love then you can always stay longer! Canada’s roads are built for the motorhome – they are expansive, un-crowded and campsites are in abundance with excellent facilities.

  • An affordable and practical way to see Canada
  • A great option for families

Planning your trip:

Step 1: Choose your motorhome
Have a look at the type of vehicles we offer and which best suit your family/group -click here
.

Step 2: Decide on your itinerary
Choosing the number of nights and your route can be tricky so as a starter we suggest you take a look at our self-drive sectionfor ideas on where to go and the number of nights in each place. After this feel free to call us to discuss your ideas and we can help tailor-make it to your exact requirements.

Step 3: Choose your campground or RV Park
The choice of campground sites or RV parks is excellent with costs starting at approximately $30 per night depending on the vehicle size. The standard of service is very high - many have an onsite shop for all your essentials similar to campsites here in the UK. In addition their locations are generally close to a main town of village and near to a wealth of activities and leisure facilities which is perfect for all the family.

Our Recommendations:

We recommend you book at least the first night in advance and as most Canadians travel to campground sites at weekends. Over bank holidays and peak holiday periods it is also wise to plan your route as much as possible and ideally book all your preferred campgrounds in advance.

There are many websites with details of the campground sites in Canada. Below are a few of the more useful ones:

Parks Canada: www.pccamping.ca/parkscanada
Camping – British Columbia:  www.camping.bc.ca
Camping – Alberta: http://www.albertaparks.ca

Top Tips:

When booking your campground, for first-time RV 'ers, try to book a pull through site. This allows you to drive in one end and pull out ofthe other when you leave (no reversing) !!!

Check that the site has a full 'Hook Up'. This means you will be connected to Mains water, Mains electricity (powers the roof air conditioner and plug sockets) and waste. Campgrounds in more rural areas may not have all amenities.
